P52- Week 29- Summer

What a fun week for our Project 52 group.  With “summer” as our theme, I literally have 100′s of images that fit.  Living in South Florida, even my winter shots resemble summer shots.  To challenge myself a little more for our project, I wanted a more fine art kind of picture.

Summer for my family means play in the sun and water as much as possible.  The only way to stay cool is to stay near in the water.  We visit fountains, water parks, pools, and beach areas.  We’ve also played in the water hose, had baby pools, and made slip and slides.  I love the excitement and the squeals and laughter that I hear as my boys splash, run, and jump in the water.

All of this fun I’ve captured numerous times in many ways.

I also love the little things that might otherwise be missed.  One of my favorite things about summer this year is the way my little man’s straight blond hair curls up when it is a little wet.  Detail pictures like this one usually become my favorite because otherwise I know I would easily forget something so simple.
